Inspired Women’s Event at the Hobart International Keynote presentation
The summer of tennis holds a special place in my heart. Having worked directly on ten Australian Opens, firstly as Tournament Director of the Australian Wheelchair Tennis Open and later in senior commercial roles in sponsorship and Director of Marketing of Tennis Australia; I’ve been privileged to have an insider’s view of what goes on behind the scenes of our ‘Happy Slam’.
So, I was delighted to be invited to share my experience with a room full of Tasmania’s leading executives at the Hobart International Inspiring Women’s event recently.
Joined by Tasmanian Governor, Her Excellency Barbara Baker AC, Tennis Tasmania President Ally Bradley and former AO colleague Meaghan Jeffrey, it was a wonderful opportunity to explore the themes of initiative, resilience, teamwork and purpose.
Sharing experiences with executives from every sector, the Inspiring Women’s Event each year showcases the careers of women in the business of sport. I was honoured to have been invited to share my journey of career adventures both on and off the court with a group of incredible women.
And it’s always rewarding when your efforts make an impact. Thanks to Ally Bradley, President of Tennis Tasmania for her kind words.
“It was a privilege to have Brigette McGuire speak at our fourth Hobart International Inspirational Women’s Event. She shared stories from her career with honesty and humour, in a way that was both relatable and genuinely inspiring.
Brigette’s focus on creating value opened up thoughtful, meaningful conversations across the room, and you could feel how engaged our 50 Tasmanian women leaders in attendance were. We’re grateful she joined us and helped create a space to reflect, listen and support one another.”
Until next time.
